Connecticut Sex Offender Registry by County
Connecticut has eight counties, each served by local police departments and Connecticut State Police troops. Select a county below to find sex offender registry resources and law enforcement contact information for that area.
About Connecticut's Sex Offender Registry System
The Connecticut sex offender registry is maintained by the Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection (DESPP). Unlike many states, Connecticut does not have county sheriff's departments. Instead, law enforcement is provided by municipal police departments and the Connecticut State Police.
Each county in Connecticut has access to the statewide registry through local police departments and state police troops. You can search for registered sex offenders online through the OffenderWatch system or visit any police department during business hours for assistance.
The registry includes information about offenders convicted of sexual offenses who are required to register under Connecticut General Statutes Chapter 969. Registration periods are either 10 years or lifetime, depending on the offense. All registrants must verify their addresses every 90 days.
